One may day in 2005 we were camping and had the idea to tow a body board behind a boat a 14 foot tinnie with a 40hp motor with a crappy old piece of telecom rope and a stick for a handle, we figured out we could stand up but not very well, so the next weekend we came back with surfboards and a better rope with a hose for a handle it rocked then we saw a wakeboarder and we had to have one, dayrl brought a shitty wakeboard from cash converters you couldn't ride switch on it or anything because of it design it had velcro sandle style bindings which were useless and we kept stacking it to make things worse we had no idea what speed to go so we told the driver to go flat out. We had a better tow boat a 16 foot seafearer with a 75hp mecury and we were doing about 60km/hr and it fucking hurt when we came off, we brought a proper wakeboarding rope and handle and i did a little research and found out 30 - 35km/hr was the right speed, and we weren't hurting ourselves so much.
We then got some better bindings for the crap board which improved our progress but we desperatly needed a real wakeboard. My mate daniel told us he had come across a double up wakeboard and we could have it, it was old and had no fins and broken bindings so i went straight down to the waterskiiers connection and got me some fins $50, and took the bindings off the old board. Straight away the amount of tricks i could do increased and in no time i was riding switch doing 180's pulling off method grab's and attempting raley's and tantrums i was hooked i brought myself a boat a life jacket a rope and handle only problem was it was the middle of winter and the water was icy so i needed a wetsuit thanks to ebay i got me one of them too i went every weekend every day off every chance i could when ever i had time spare money for fuel and a couple of mates to drive we hit the water until attempting a tantrum i ripped a binding clean out of the board and destroyed it so i decided it was time for a decent board back to waterskiiers connection to buy a new board a 2007 CWB Pure with Vapor bindings see below. I can't get enough of wakeboarding i have dreams about wakeboarding i can't wait for the next time i hit the water
So if u ever want to come out wakeboarding just ask me i'm always keen for a session on the water, all we need is two people one with a boat license one spotter and some fuel and we'll hit the water, can't wait till next time...
Us three mad keen wakeboarders (myself, dayrl and sally jane) all got new wakeboards, so i decided to turn the broken double up board into a wakeskate, wakeskating kicks ass, check out this wakeskating video from bump films called "Snap".
i was craving a wakeboard session as i hadn't been in almost 2 weeks and i hadn't even tried out my new board yet, I had a friday off but no one to drive my boat as everyone was at work so myself and shaun went to Cable Ski Logan, we had an aweome time and for only $35 you can cruise around for 2 hours that cheaper than buying fuel and taking my boat. i was a bit sus on the place cuz it looks a bit dodgy and there is no wake to launch off. turns out it was awesome fun and my new board rocks. The only thing was u needed a helmet to hit the sliders and jumps and i didn't have one and they aren't allowed to hire one to me which sucked

myself dayrl and russell jay and josh (aka little jay) went out in the boat, we loaded it up with sand bags, i took the fins off my board it was the best thing, improved my riding straight away i loved it, we started doing dock starts as well as towing myself and dayrl behind the boat at the same time so we could stuff around, i am sore as and i thought i broke my ankle at one stage but it came god and didn't stop me from strapping on my board just meant i didn't go as hard or as big as i usually would

this weekend i spent a total of about 16 hours on the board friday saturday and sunday i got toasted by the sun, i hope my ankle heals soon so i can go big i damaged it 2 weeks ago doing a raley which i landed badly, i can't wait till next weekend...
